Absolutely. The Bachelor’s Degree in Energy Engineering organizes PCTO projects every year.
PCTO (Percorsi per le Competenze Trasversali e per l’Orientamento – Pathways for Transversal Skills and Orientation) are compulsory activities for students in Italian high schools, introduced by Law 107/2015 (“La Buona Scuola”) and redefined in 2019. They are the evolution of the former school-to-work transition programs.
PCTO projects are designed to:
• Help you develop transversal skills (such as teamwork, problem-solving, communication).
• Support your orientation towards future studies or employment.
• Strengthen the connection between school, industry, and society.
You are required to complete PCTO hours during the final three years of high school:
• 210 hours for arts, music, and dance high schools.
• 150 hours for technical institutes.
• 90 hours for traditional high schools.
At the end of the program, you will receive a certification of the skills acquired.
